The Team

George Sam is a seasoned professional boasting over 20 years of experience in the BFSI industry. As the Co-Founder & Business Head at Mindgate Solutions, his responsibilities include developing robust business strategies, fostering client engagement, and managing the company’s P&L account to ensure profitability across all product and service verticals.

Prior to this role, he held the position of Business Head at ByzanSystem Pvt Ltd, where he played a pivotal role in building strong customer relationships and driving revenue growth through robust sales strategies.

George’s leadership extends to successfully managing teams, emphasizing excellence, and nurturing a positive work culture.

With a postgraduate degree in Business Management from IIM Indore, George is dedicated not only to professional success but also embraces fitness, reflecting a holistic approach to life.

Co-founding Mindgate in 2008, George aimed to simplify and secure transactions in the ever-evolving digital payment landscape. Today, under his leadership, Mindgate stands at the forefront, processing approximately 1 out of 5 real-time payments globally and over 50% of the country’s real-time payment transactions. With a talent pool of over 1200 professionals and a strong footprint in India, UAE, and SEA. George envisions Mindgate as a leading global player in the Digital Payment ecosystem within the next three years.

George Sam, in addition to his illustrious career in the BFSI industry, has demonstrated a commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship by investing professionally and personally in numerous incubator series startups. He actively seeks new avenues for investment, focusing on driving growth and contributing to the betterment of the nation.

Furthermore, George is an enthusiastic world traveler, with extensive experience exploring diverse cultures and landscapes. Despite his global adventures, his heart remains deeply connected to India, often journeying to remote areas to witness the majestic Indian tigers in their natural habitat.

As the Co-founder and Chief Architect at Mindgate Solutions, he is responsible for all product architecture along with strategic technology decisions for all the business verticals. Being a seasoned professional with over two decades of experience in the fintech industry he has been pivotal in scaling Mindgate as the go to partner for all digital transactional needs and innovations.

Before co-founding Mindgate, Guhan served as a Software Architect at Byzan System Pvt Ltd., where he led significant projects including the development of internet banking and payment gateways for numerous international banks.

Guhan adopts a collaborative leadership approach, emphasizing company growth alongside individual development. He values teamwork and fosters an environment where innovation flourishes and takes each day a new feat to conquer.

Guhan holds a bachelor’s degree in electronics and communication from the National Institute of Technology, Durgapur, India.

In 2008, Along with George Sam, Guhan co-founded Mindgate with a vision to simplify and secure digital transactions. Today, Mindgate processes 1 out of 5 real-time payments globally and approximately over 50% of the country’s UPI transactions.

Guhan enjoys investing in various startups, especially ones aligned with the global payments landscape. He believes in the “Make in India for the World” approach, driving innovation and excellence within the digital payments’ ecosystem. He actively seeks opportunities to support innovative ventures that contribute to the advancement of the fintech industry.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Guhan enjoys traveling and participating in extreme adventure sports. He believes that this allows him to step out of his comfort zone while embracing new experiences and challenges.
